Sea Level Ingredient Amounts

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 12 ounces unsalted butter
  • 24 ounces sugar
  • 12 ounces eggs
  • 15 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

9,000 Foot Elevation Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 10 ¼ ounces unsalted butter
  • 21 ounces granulated sugar
  • 13 ½ ounces eggs
  • 18 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Sea Level baking time per recipe: 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Baking time at 9,000 feet: 1 hour and 20 minutes.

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.

2. In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.

3. Add eggs two at a time, beating well with each addition. Add the flour al at once and mix in. Add vanilla.

4. Pour into a 10 inch tube pan. Check for doneness at 1 hour. A toothpick inserted into the center of the cake will come out clean.
